JOINT AEROMEDICAL COMMITTEE

(appointed by State Emergency Medical Services Board)

Under the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Services Systems, the Joint Aeromedical Committee was formed in November 1994 by the State Emergency Medical Services Board. The Committee was to consider whether the State Police should charge for aeromedical transports; what the medical role of State Police helicopters should be within the Statewide Emergency Medical Services System; and what should be the configuration for the medical complement on State Police Medevac helicopters. The Committee submitted its report of recommendations to the Board in August 1995.
